The Llpo Pandala has three main parts: the fixed core, the freebridge, and the main living area. The fixed core and main living area are constantly spinning, which produces gravity.

As a result, the main living area of the Llpo Pandala is always spinning. In the above picture, the gray part of the main living area is the floor. The white parts are the windows. Ditto with the "fixed" bridge.

Since everything is spinning except the freebridge, it looks like the freebridge is spinning and everything else is standing still. This is where other people will board the ship, and where the Pandalians go to board other ships. A specially designed elevator takes people from the freebridge to the fixedbridge. As it moves, it also spins, so that when the people get to the main bridge, they're going as fast as the rest of the ship.

Quick science lesson: When something hollow (like this ship) spins very quickly and constantly, it's called a centrifuge. Anything that is in the hollow object will cling to the walls... hense, artificial gravity.

I know this to be true, because I've felt it! When you grow up in Huntsville, Alabama, it's requisite to take at least 3-4 field trips to the Space and Rocket Center. My favorite ride was always the Centrifuge. It's wild, because you don't get dizzy. Really! You really don't feel like you're spinning when you're inside it. All you know, is that gradually, instead of standing up, you're laying on your back, and you havn't moved. The "seats" even rise up off the air, because you're feeling gravity coming from the walls. (Well, some people feel it. Every now and then you get a person who bounces around and shakes their head and stuff. Then they barf.)

More about the Llpo Pandala

In this picture, the public areas are in white, whereas the crew areas are in gray. The crew can slip between both areas using secret passages, of course. The public areas are used if someone wants entertainment, but doesn't have a ship that is big enough. Pandalians rarely take prisoners, but if they did, they would probably just use the guest suites. Really, the suites are more for show than anything else. Few people trust Pandalians enough to travel with them.

Pandalain ships do not have individual names. Instead, they are named for their current captain. Remember when Rayv takes the escape pod, Ruby calls it the Rayv Pandala? that's why.

Pandalian ships have a color code to identify other ships.
Red = enemy vessel
Green = ship to hail and trade with or entertain (most ships fall under this catagory)
White = another Pandalian ship
Blue = a ship that is actively seeking entertainment or trade (Jar'reel's wedding ship is a good example)
